As I am sure some of you are aware, our senior member, °jark is gone. °jark

I may not have been here long, or know jark as a person, but I can see the strong influence and respect he has here. I am afraid our backbone of this community is gone. And if our worse fears are to be true, then we must reach across the span of internet, the world, time, and space to lock our arms and bring our heads together to pull the DeviantArt as jark saw it together. We have to have the courage he did. He had a dream and brought it to reality, a thing many of us mope around and wish we could do. We do not realise the full extent of our powers, that if we put our minds into it and get a little inspiration, we can make our dreams come true! Now we must pull together to continue jarks dream, to see that it stays a reality. I know I didn't know jark, and I cannot speak for him in any way, but I feel this in my heart .

*sigh* I came to DeviantArt much the same way I am sure everyone else did, looking for art. But within a week this site became more that a little hole in the internet. This is my home, you guys are my family, every single one of you. It is here that i can escape the harsh realities of my home and feel secure. I don't ever want that to disappear, but now I feel as if it is falling apart, just as my family is doing now . I cannot have two families fall apart around my feet, and I will do whatever is in my power to help keep this community running, especially whenever i get my computer hooked up to the internet. We need the community, the family feel, back. I agree much with `onestar, that on August 7 (deviantarts 5 B-day) we should not post ANY artwork. Not a scrap, not a deviation, nada. We need the COMMUNITY back. I am sure it was even better before my time . I feel like I am missing something, but I am tired, so forgive me .
